Privacy Policy (Pre-Launch Phase)

1. Introduction & Status of Project

We take data protection seriously. As we are based in Austria, we process your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

2. Who is Responsible (Data Controller)

Until the formal incorporation of the company, the Data Controller responsible for your personal data is acting under the project name "Menothera". (Once the company is established, this responsibility will transfer to the established company).

3. What Data We Collect & Why

During this testing phase, we collect minimal data:

A. Waitlist & Interest (Voluntary)

• Data: Email address, name.
• Purpose: To notify you when we launch or to send you product updates.
• Legal Basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give this consent by entering your email and clicking "Notify me", "Sign Up" or "Apply to be a tester".
• Withdrawal: You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email or contacting us.

B. Usage Data (Analytics)

• Data: IP address (anonymized), browser type, device type, buttons clicked, time spent on page.
• Purpose: To understand if users are interested in our product concept (validation).
• Legal Basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) via the Cookie Banner.
• Tools Used: Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel. Note: These tools are only active if you accept cookies.

C. Technical Server Logs

• Data: IP address, timestamp of access.
• Purpose: Security and stability of the website (preventing DDOS attacks).
• Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Third-Party Tools & Data Transfer

To validate our idea, we use third-party service providers. Some may process data outside the EU (specifically in the USA). We ensure these providers comply with GDPR standards (e.g., via the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

• Hosting: Websupport. To host the site.
• Analytics: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity. To measure traffic.
• Email Marketing: To manage the waitlist.

5. Data Retention

• Waitlist Data: Stored until you unsubscribe or until the project is terminated.
• Analytics Data: Stored for 24 months and then automatically deleted.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data ("Right to be forgotten").
• Withdraw consent at any time.
